First Friday Puyallup
Visit Downtown Puyallup the First Friday of each month for a growing cultural event that brings the community together to experience Puyallup's revitalized downtown district. Visit your longtime favorite businesses and check out all the new businesses, restaurants and pubs in the neighborhood. Spend an evening with friends, "seeing and being seen", at this fun, informal monthly "art walk" event.

The First Friday of every month. A number of your favorite Downtown Puyallup businesses are taking part in First Friday, with more joining the event each month. Your support (by showing up on First Friday and by asking your favorite establishments if they are part of this new monthly event) will encourage more businesses to participate, thereby helping the event grow. There is no fee or admission for the public to attend First Friday events; however, it is possible that some businesses may have special events happening for which they may charge a cover at their discretion.
First Friday is sponsored by Arts & Corks Studio, but the Event itself encompasses any downtown business that wishes to participate in this community event. Please contact individual businesses to ask if they are participating. This is a grassroots movement; there is not a ''coordinator'' responsible for matching artists with businesses. Businesses and artists are expected to promote themselves to each other and to the public, participate in good faith and act with respect. It is the hope of Arts & Corks Studio that this opportunity will create a symbiotic relationship between downtown business and the arts, for the greater benefit of everyone. If you are an artist (graphic, photography, performance, singing, musical instrument, sculpture, jewelry, etc) , or know an artist, interested in exhibiting work at a First Friday event, please prepare a portfolio of work that you are prepared to exhibit and present yourself and your work to local businesses participating in First Friday, for their consideration in show casing your work. The mission of the First Friday Puyallup sponsor is to encourage a lively community culture of art and entertainment throughout the downtown corridor. To do this, participating businesses are opening their doors from 5-8pm on the first Friday of each month to display exhibits by local artists, offer special events and generally create a welcoming small-town atmosphere with big-city sophistication for folks to come downtown and enjoy.
First Friday Puyallup is a fairly new, grass-roots tradition with more businesses joining each month. We hope to have a website and map of participating businesses available soon, in the mean time, please come down, stoll along the sidewalks and visit your favorite businesses to see what they artist's they are hosting for First Friday.Date and Time
